Sources and evidence

Stemmapyle

See what needs another look after a change.

A source file changes. Which of the deliverables you declared depend on it? Stemmapyle’s local prototype compares captured packs and follows declared relationships to show where another review may be needed.

Working prototype, not yet open to the public.

Keep the change connected to the work it may affect.

For maintainers updating documents, data or software deliverables, a changed file is only the beginning of the question. Stemmapyle helps inspect possible source impact within the captured material and the relationships supplied by the operator.

How the local prototype works

1. Supply the captured versions

Compare captured source packs. The comparison is bounded by the supplied material; it does not inspect everything installed on a machine.

2. Declare the relationships

Provide the dependencies and consumers you want to examine. The prototype follows those declared links, including downstream consumers, and shows the reason paths. Unresolved references remain visible. It does not discover a complete dependency graph for you.

3. Use the result to direct review

A declared direct or downstream consumer may need another review after a source change. That is a review signal, not proof of breakage or permission to repair anything.

A shared script changes

In the retained invented example, a shared-script change sends its declared direct and downstream consumers for re-review. For an unrelated consumer, the result is “no declared source impact found.” That does not establish that it is unaffected through relationships that were never declared.

What exists today

A working offline captured-pack comparison prototype is retained with the Pylotheke review tools. The published catalogue stage remains BUILD. It is not available for public use or download; live integrations are not verified.

Keep the boundary visible

Stemmapyle does not discover installed dependencies, send automatic notifications or prove that the declared relationships are complete. Missing source means absent from the selected capture. Missing evidence and missing relationships limit what a comparison can tell you.

Discuss the review you need.

Describe the question you want to examine. An enquiry does not reserve access or place an order.
